Beyton #FocusFriday

My #FocusFriday this week is a little different for a couple of reasons. For one, you’ll notice I’ve ventured over the border into Suffolk, and secondly, I’m trusting to the old saying that a picture speaks a thousand words and leaving the heavy lifting this week to the video footage from when I spent a little time in Beyton last month. You can find a map of the area at the bottom of this page along with other key information.

The approach to the village is nothing short of idyllic and as you approach via the Church Road you are first presented with the Grade II listed All Saints Church. The striking rounded tower is one of the stand out features, with others dating back to the 14th Century, although much of the church was rebuilt in the 19th Century.

The open and picturesque village green is with a visit alone. Take a seat and watch the world - and geese - go by before strolling up to the nearest of the two local pubs. The White Horse offers a classic traditional menu with gluten free and vegan options and they also now provide a takeaway option. You’re spoilt for choice with drinks ranging from local beers to wines from around the world that you can take out and enjoy in the large back garden. Maybe you fancy joining the local book club that meets in the pub?

Don’t take my word for it, have a look at the video below to see more of the village.
