Dullingham is a lovely village, 4 miles south of Newmarket and with its connecting train station it really is a much sought after location for houses. This is also a companion blog for the next door village of Stetchworth which was a previous #FocusFriday of mine and you can read about by clicking here.
There is a map of the area along with key information at the foot of this page.
Dullingham really is a delightful village and you can simply enjoy its peaceful qualities with a nice stroll through and admire some of the older and traditional buildings throughout the village. What also makes it a much sought after location is its railway station that connects to Cambridge in just 15-20 minutes.
If you fancy something "fancy" you could always try the Honeyshed Bakery for anything from afternoon tea to grazing boards. "What are grazing boards?" I hear you ask and I shall let you click here and give their website a visit to drool over what they are! You can then have a look at the different celebration cakes and sweets that they offer.
You can also step into some rich history by picking up the 'oldest road in Britain' and walk along the Icknield Way Path that passes by Dullingham. The ancient trail is made up of old paths and Roman roads and passes through 6 counties. There is a handy guide and interactive map on this website that you can view by clicking here. If you do try walking any of it, do let me know and send me a pic!
