Just three miles north of Ely, this historic village has features dating back over 500 years. Today, we’ll explore some of its modern features too.
As you might expect in this part of the country, there are some great options for walking and exploring and the nature reserve at Little Downham is notable for its many walks and plenty of benches to stop and have a breather/admire the scenery. You can see the remains of Bishop’s Palace in Little Downham that used to be a favourite residence of the Medieval bishops of Ely. You can still take the Bishop’s Walk all the way towards Ely Cathedral.
