Just three miles north of Ely, this historic village has features dating back over 500 years, here we’ll explore some of its modern features too.

As you might expect in this part of the country, there are some great options for walking and exploring and the nature reserve at Little Downham is notable for its many walks and plenty of benches to stop and have a breather/admire the scenery. (There is a map of the area and links to local services at the bottom of this page.)

The Anchor in #LittleDownham not only pours award winning ales, it also offers 11 en-suite bedrooms, a tantalising menus from their bistro head chef, and can host a range of events in their function room.

You can see the remains of Bishop’s Palace in Little Downham that used to be a favourite residence of the Medieval bishops of Ely. You can still take the Bishop’s Walk all the way towards Ely Cathedral.

And any mention of Little Downham wouldn’t be complete without a mention of the local crisp makers Corkers Crisps! All your favourite flavours cooked locally on the family farm.
