Follow me to Foxton #FocusFriday

Updated: Oct 27, 2023

Today’s #FocusFriday is the gorgeous village of Foxton, which is bordered by the Cam to the north and combines an idyllic rural setting and excellent transport links. With a small train station in Foxton, you can be in Cambridge in 15minutes and it's the same time via bus to Trumpington Park and Ride.

(You can find a map of the area at the bottom of this page along with links to local schools and doctors etc.)

You can click the button below to subscribe to my newsletter to receive the latest blog and to be first to hear about new properties before they hit the market.

With local cricket, football, bowls and tennis clubs, there's the opportunity for some sporting hobbies and you also have Foxton Play area and recreational ground for family play. If you wanted to socialise away from sports, you could always try the signing group or gardeners association! Access to outdoor space is something I get asked about on almost all property enquiries now, and in Foxton you have Foxton Wood on your doorstep and it's about a 20minute walk (depending on your starting point!) to the river.

The village itself is an idyllic, picturesque treat with homes from the 15th and 16th Century adding charm and character, as well as St Laurence Church, which dates back to the 13th Century. Although it is a quiet and small village, you still have a couple of convenience stores and a post office and the prospect of Friday night fish and chips and a Sunday roast at the White Horse pub!

If you - or someone you know - is thinking of moving home, don't hesitate to contact me via my contact page for an informal chat about selling your current home, or finding your next one.
